Tanmateix, sovint s\u2019utilitza com a sin\u00f2nim de dany cel\u00b7lular o malaltia, quan en realitat descriu un <strong>desequilibri fisiol\u00f2gic<\/strong> que pot apar\u00e8ixer en qualsevol esp\u00e8cie i en diferents etapes de la vida productiva.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un equilibri essencial per al funcionament de l\u2019organisme<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<style>\na {\n    text-decoration: none;\n    color: #464feb;\n}\ntr th, tr td {\n    border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;\n}\ntr th {\n    background-color: #f5f5f5;\n}\n<\/style>\n<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Durant el metabolisme normal, les c\u00e8l\u00b7lules produeixen de manera cont\u00ednua <strong>esp\u00e8cies reactives de l\u2019oxigen (ROS)<\/strong>. Lluny de ser \u00fanicament perjudicials, aquestes mol\u00e8cules participen en processos essencials com la senyalitzaci\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular, la resposta immunit\u00e0ria i la defensa davant dels microorganismes.<\/p>\n<p>En condicions normals, l\u2019organisme mant\u00e9 un equilibri entre la producci\u00f3 de ROS i els seus sistemes antioxidants, formats per enzims com la super\u00f2xid dismutasa, la catalasa i la glutati\u00f3 peroxidasa, a m\u00e9s de diversos compostos antioxidants presents als teixits i a la dieta.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019<strong>estr\u00e8s oxidatiu<\/strong> apareix quan aquest equilibri es trenca i la producci\u00f3 d\u2019esp\u00e8cies reactives supera la capacitat de l\u2019organisme per neutralitzar-les.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3462\" src=\"https:\/\/tech-complex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Figura-1-Equilibrio-oxidativo-fisiologico-842x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"842\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quan es pot produir?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En producci\u00f3 animal existeixen nombroses situacions que incrementen la demanda metab\u00f2lica i afavoreixen aquest desequilibri. Entre elles destaquen:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Estr\u00e8s per calor.<\/li>\n<li>Transici\u00f3 al voltant del part.<\/li>\n<li>Processos inflamatoris o infecciosos.<\/li>\n<li>Creixement r\u00e0pid.<\/li>\n<li>Alta producci\u00f3.<\/li>\n<li>Transport o maneig intensiu.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aquestes situacions no sempre provoquen un estr\u00e8s oxidatiu cl\u00ednicament evident, per\u00f2 s\u00ed que poden augmentar la pressi\u00f3 oxidativa sobre l\u2019organisme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-3464\" src=\"https:\/\/tech-complex.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Figura-2-factores-estres-oxidativo-683x1024.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" \/><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Per qu\u00e8 \u00e9s important?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quan l\u2019equilibri redox s\u2019altera de manera sostinguda, es poden produir modificacions en l\u00edpids, prote\u00efnes i ADN, a m\u00e9s d\u2019alteracions en diferents vies de senyalitzaci\u00f3 cel\u00b7lular. Com a conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia, l\u2019animal pot veure compromeses funcions relacionades amb la immunitat, la reproducci\u00f3, el benestar o l\u2019efici\u00e8ncia productiva.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Per aquest motiu, en els darrers anys el manteniment de l\u2019equilibri oxidatiu s\u2019ha convertit en una \u00e0rea d\u2019inter\u00e8s creixent dins de la nutrici\u00f3 animal i de la recerca en ingredients funcionals.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Com respon l\u2019organisme a l\u2019estr\u00e8s oxidatiu?<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019organisme disposa d\u2019un sofisticat sistema de defensa destinat a mantenir l\u2019equilibri redox i limitar els efectes d\u2019un exc\u00e9s d\u2019esp\u00e8cies reactives de l\u2019oxigen (ROS). Aquest sistema est\u00e0 format per mecanismes <strong>enzim\u00e0tics<\/strong> i <strong>no enzim\u00e0tics<\/strong>, que actuen de forma coordinada.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Entre els principals enzims antioxidants destaquen la <strong>super\u00f2xid dismutasa (SOD)<\/strong>, responsable de transformar el radical super\u00f2xid en per\u00f2xid d\u2019hidrogen; la <strong>catalasa<\/strong>, que converteix aquest compost en aigua i oxigen; i la <strong>glutati\u00f3 peroxidasa (GPx)<\/strong>, un enzim dependent de seleni que contribueix a eliminar per\u00f2xids i protegir les membranes cel\u00b7lulars.<\/p>\n<p>A m\u00e9s d\u2019aquests enzims, l\u2019organisme compta amb antioxidants d\u2019origen nutricional. Entre els m\u00e9s coneguts es troben la <strong>vitamina E<\/strong>, que protegeix els l\u00edpids de les membranes davant de la peroxidaci\u00f3; la <strong>vitamina C<\/strong>, capa\u00e7 de regenerar altres antioxidants i neutralitzar radicals lliures en el medi aqu\u00f3s; i el <strong>seleni<\/strong>, un oligoelement essencial per a l\u2019activitat de la glutati\u00f3 peroxidasa.<\/p>\n<p>En els darrers anys tamb\u00e9 ha augmentat l\u2019inter\u00e8s per determinats <strong>compostos bioactius d\u2019origen vegetal<\/strong>, com els <strong>polifenols<\/strong>, a causa del seu potencial per participar en el manteniment de l\u2019equilibri redox mitjan\u00e7ant diferents mecanismes d\u2019acci\u00f3. No obstant aix\u00f2, la seva efic\u00e0cia pot dependre del tipus de compost, la dosi, l\u2019esp\u00e8cie animal i el context fisiol\u00f2gic, de manera que continua sent una \u00e0rea d\u2019intensa recerca.<\/p>\n<p>En condicions normals, aquest conjunt de defenses mant\u00e9 l\u2019equilibri entre la producci\u00f3 i l\u2019eliminaci\u00f3 d\u2019esp\u00e8cies reactives.
